What is the Playa Paraíso like?

The Playa Paradís brings together the best characteristics of the Costa Blanca coastline, offering us its best version. And it is that despite being the most popular beach in Villajoyosa, its 1.5 kilometres long and more than 30 meters wide allows you to enjoy this paradise throughout the year without crowds. To which also contributes that it is located in a semi-urbanized area, in a natural environment far from the town centre, but very accessible.

The most distinctive hallmark of the Playa Paraíso is the turquoise blue colour of its waters. On the shore, the waves caress the fine golden sand that alternates with areas of pebbles and palm trees. There are areas for all tastes! All this delimited by a huge cliff at the southern end that gives it a postcard appearance.

Playa Paraíso has all kinds of services, especially in high season. Throughout the year, the beach has access for people with reduced mobility, footbaths and a very large car park. But, in addition, from the month of April, services such as lifeguards and the rental of hammocks and umbrellas are added. 

The beach bars are a classic! With a bohemian and relaxed atmosphere, during the day and until the early hours of the morning, the beach has terraces on the sand where you can enjoy a drink, a snack and even some tapas without missing the music. In recent years this beach and its beach bars have become a mandatory meeting point for summer nights.

How to access Paradise Beach?

Playa Paradís is located at the southern end of the municipality of Villajoyosa, next to the Hotel Montiboli development. There are ample car parks nearby, although it can also be reached by the local bus (33) or tram (L1).

If you come by car, you would have to access it by N-332 that connects Alicante and Valencia along the coast. In it you have to take the Villajoyosa Sur exit that leads directly to Playa Paraíso. You won’t get lost!

If this beach is a paradise, its surroundings are no less so. Immediately to the south and only separated by a slender but short cliff is the Bol Nou cove, which is for many the little sister of Paradís, due to its similarity and its extension. And a little further on are the beautiful coves of L'Esparrelló and La Caleta, which can be accessed directly from the facilities of the Hotel Montiboli itself.

To the north is the town centre of Villajoyosa with its picturesque old town full of colourful houses brimming with charm and tradition. The perfect finishing touch for a day that smells of the Mediterranean on all four sides. 

What is more special than enjoying this paradise when everyone has left? The Hotel Montíboli is located on a cliff just a few meters from Playa Paradís, which will allow you to witness movie sunrises or walk along its promenade once the hustle and bustle becomes calm and you can only hear the roar of the waves on the seashore.
